San Francisco Frozen to screen Iranian short ‘The Gull’s Shriek’

Iranian short ‘The Gull’s Shriek’ is to vie at the 2021 San Francisco Frozen Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘The Gull’s Shriek’ has been selected to compete at the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF2021) in the US.

Written and directed by Ava Qahremanifar, the short film will be screened at the Dramatic Shorts section of the 15th edition of the US event.

The flick is about Susan and Raha, two senior students studying Dramatic Arts in an art school.

They are both candidates for the role of Johnathan Livingston from Richard Bachʼs, but soon after the audition some peculiar events begin to arise and take place; more peculiar than Susanʼs appearance.

The cast list of the short film includes Raha Dourandish and Paniz Esmaeeli.

The SFFFF2021, dedicated to creating avenues for independent filmmakers, promotes inspiration and provides public avenues for filmmakers to show their art and tell their stories.

The 2021 edition of the event will be held on July 14-18.
